Zăganu joins the WWF "Colors on the verge of extinction" campaign ! Because we don't want the sturgeon, one of the oldest animals in the world, to suffer the same fate as the zăgan, especially since 5 of the 6 native Danube sturgeon species are on the list of critically endangered species. In 2013, we named our beer Zăganu, in honor of the bearded vulture that lived in the area and was hunted to extinction.
At the same time, this name represented for us a symbol of our mission – to reinvent the craft beer tradition in Romania. We created this limited edition craft beer, in the colors of the sturgeon, with the desire to contribute with you to saving this animal.
